Motorcar Falls in February
  • Last chance for the Wet. This is the only remaining wet season walk that has places available this year.
  • Spectacular waterfalls. We will visit a number of the most easily accessible wet season waterfalls in Kakadu.
  • Relaxed pace. We will walk at a pace suited to the climate with lots of swims long breaks during the heat of the day.
  • Light packs. With only five nights food, packs are lighter than on many of our trips. We plan to spend two or even three nights in a single campsite and explore with daypacks making your load lighter still.
  • Special discount. Save $130 off the list price.

The photos below give you a taste of what you can expect if you take part.

Here are some of the waterfalls on Motorcar Creek. No other tour operator visits more than one of these. The first two photos were taken in February, the third in April after the flows had eased off.

Some of the terrain we walk over is flat and easy, some rough and rocky. Averaging it all out, this is one of the easiest wet season walks we offer.

The three photos below show the upper and lower falls on Kurrundie Creek and a section of lower Kurrundie Gorge. If you click on the centre photo, you should be able to see someone swimming above the falls.

Terrain and difficulty.
This is one of the easiest wet season trips we offer.

If you take part, you will get wet when it rains and you will get wet crossing creeks.

You are, however, not likely to get cold. The temperature is unlikely to go below about 21°C (70°F).

Some sections of the walk are fairly flat and relatively easy. Others involve considerable rock hopping and are moderately difficult. There are a few steep climbs but these are short and over relatively quickly for most groups.

Your rewards are waterfalls, wildflowers and an incredible Kakadu wilderness experience no other operator can offer you.
